FMCSA Revokes Three ELD Devices: What Carriers Need to Know
09/05/2025
News
On September 4, 2025, FMCSA revoked three ELD devices due to non-compliance with Title 49 CFR requirements.
The following devices were removed:
TT ELD PT30
Model Number: ARN752
ELD Identifier: CZGS10
ELD Provider: TT ELD IncELOG42
Model Number: ERS
ELD Identifier: ERS156
ELD Provider: Leko INCRENAISSANCE ELD
Model Number: RNSSNC
ELD Identifier: RNS592
ELD Provider: RENAISSANCE ELD
The deadline for replacing these devices is November 3, 2025. After this date, their use will be considered as operating without an ELD, and drivers will be placed Out-of-Service (OOS).
What should carriers do?
Immediately discontinue the use of revoked devices.
Temporarily maintain records using paper logs or logging software.
Install a new ELD from the registered list no later than November 3, 2025.
Important details of the 60-day transition period
Drivers may temporarily use paper logs or “logging software” — mobile or tablet applications for manual recordkeeping. However, these solutions are not automatically integrated with the FMCSA system; they are only a digital version of a paper logbook.
Until November 3, 2025, inspectors will not issue citations for the use of revoked ELDs. Drivers may present paper logs, electronic records, or even data displayed on the screen of the revoked device — but only as a temporary solution.
After November 3, 2025, the transition period ends, and carriers are required to use only registered devices from the FMCSA list.
Where to find the list of registered and revoked ELDs?
This information is available on the official FMCSA ELD website.
You can download the list in Excel and filter the devices.
Or, directly on the website, select the tab for either “Registered” or “Revoked” devices.
By clicking the plus icon next to a device, you can view detailed information (model, software version, provider, etc.).
